Market closes on a strong note
Mumbai, Feb 3: The Indian equities on Thursday's trade snapped the streak of previous five consecutive session losses by adding over 359 points. The market is observing the recovery of losses for the second consecutive day. The Nifty held above 5550 level at closing.

At 4:20 am, the BSE Sensex was at 18,449.31 up 358.69 points and Nifty was at 5526.72 up 94.75 points


Sensex gains over 300 points

The BSE Sensex gained over 300 points on Thursday's trade, and the Nifty held at 5500 mark. Heavyweights like Reliance Industries, Bharti, L&T, SBI, ICICI Bank and BHEL were leading the markets higher.

At 2:30 am, the BSE Sensex was at 18,389.28 up 298.66 points and Nifty was at 5,514.05 up 82.05 points

Market trades with moderate gains; Nifty at 5500 level

The market was trading on green, it came up with small gains. The Nifty held at 5500 mark, psychologically important, backed by oil & gas, realty, banking and capital goods

At 12:30 am, the BSE Sensex was at 18,403.20 up 313.36 points and Nifty was at 5,515.25 up 83.25 points

Market opens on a flat note

The market opened on a flat not, no gains has been observed in the equities in the morning trade.

Among frontliners, Reliance Communications, BPCL, Tata Motors, Hero Honda, Reliance Power, L&T, ITC, M&M, ICICI Bank and HUL were witnessing selling pressure.

At 10:30 am, the BSE Sensex was at 18,272.33 up 181.71 points and Nifty was at 5,485.90 up 53.90 points
