Trading ends on green; Sensex closes 200 points higher

Sensex closes 200 points higher
Mumbai, Mar 23: Indian markets ended on high positive note for the second consecutive day on Wednesday, Mar 23. The bench mark Sensex gained 200 points followed by the support from heavyweights like Reliance Industries, ICICI Bank, Infosys and BHEL.

At 04.30 hrs, BSE Sensex was 18206.16 up 217.86 points and NSE Nifty was 5480.25 up 66.40 points.

The top gainers were Sesa Goa up 4.50 percent, Cipla up 4.24 percent, ICICI Bank up 3.66 percent and Jaiprakash Asso up 3.48 percent.

The top losers were Mah and Mah down 1.22 percent, Jindal Steel down 0.67 percent, TCS down 0.48 percent and Rel Capital down 0.40 percent.

Trading continues on green note; Nifty holds above 5400

The bench mark Nifty was trading at 5450 level supported by heavyweights like ICICI Bank, Reliance Industries, Infosys, BHEL, ONGC, ITC, Bharti, NTPC and L&T.

At 12.48 hrs, BSE Sensex was 18162.07 up 173.77 points and NSE Nifty was 5467.90 up 54.70 points.

The most active in trading were ICICI, SBI, Infosys and TCS.

The top gainers were Sesa Goa up 3.57 percent, ICICI Bank up 3.05 percent, Cipla up 2.97 percent and GAIL up 2.82 percent.

The top losers were Rel Capital down 0.99 percent, Mah and Mah down 0.97 percent, Jindal Steel down 0.67 percent and TCS down 0.58 percent.

Markets start trade on green note; Sensex gains 200 points
Indian markets opened on a strong note followed by the support from financial, infrastructure, oil & gas, metal, FMCG, cement and select technology companies' shares. The bench mark Sensex gained nearly 200 points in opening trade.

At 10.48 hrs, BSE Sensex was 18185.18 up 196.88 points and NSE Nifty was 5471.95 up 58.10 points.

The most active in trading were ICICI, SBI, Infosys and TCS.

The top gainers were Kotak Mahindra up 2.85 percent, ICICI Bank up 2.82 percent, GAIL up 2.35 percent and Hindalco up 2.27 percent.

The top losers were BPCL down 0.61 percent, Mah and Mah down 0.59 percent, TCS down 0.30 percent and Siemens down 0.19 percent.
