Power Finance Corporation saw profit rise five percent for June quarter (yoy)

Power Finance Corporation declared its June quarters reult. The company reported a rise of five per cent in net profit from Rs 652.36 crore for the quarter ended June 2010 to Rs 686.19 crore for the quarter ended June 2011.

The company made revenues of Rs 2,417.55 crore in the June quarter in 2010; this increased to Rs 2,924.13 crore the June quarter in 2011.

Power Finance Corporation (PFC) is one of the major lender for India's fast-growing power sector, which is expected to see investments worth USD 300 to 400 bn in the 12th five-year plan (2012-17).

According to its websites the company disbursed loans to the tune of Rs 25,808 crore in 2009-10, according to its website.
