Indraprastha Gas, came out with its June quarter results stating that net profit went up from Rs 57.14 crore in June 2010 to Rs 80.07 crore June 2011. Thereby showing an increment of 40%.
Where as the company's revenue increased from Rs 335.78 crore in June 2010 to Rs 537.4 for the period June 2011. Provision for depreicaion went up by 39.50 year-on-year (yoy).
Even on a sequential basis, i.e. current quarter compared to the previous quarter also saw improvement in performance under different categories.
The only parameted where the company's performance was relatively disappointing was operating profit margin (OPM). IGL saw its OPM fall by 2.62 percentage points, yoy. Although on sequential basis there has been improvement on this parameter as well.
