Rupee gains on positive Indian markets
The Indian Rupee strengthened in morning trade against US Dollar on positive outlook of Indian stock markets.

In the domestic currency futures market on the NSE, the Indian Rupee opened at 49.25, high from the previous close of 49.28 and was seen trading at 49.22/23 around 10:35 am IST.

The dollar index fell against the basket of currencies as euro inched up in Asia after the leaders of Germany and France, the Eurozone's two biggest economies, reached an agreement to recapitalize major European banks.

Euro was trading higher against the basket of currencies, the Indian Rupee fell against the Euro in morning trade, it opened at 66.09 and was trading low at 66.32/33.

Indian stocks also posted gains in morning trade. After a sharp pullback on Friday, the 30-share BSE Sensex was trading at 16,336, up by 103 points and NSE Nifty was trading at 4,916, up by 28 points.
