Sensex, Nifty wipes out losses, DLF, BHEL, ACC up
The 30-share Sensex was seen up by 45.26 points or 0.26% at 17,510.11 points during the last part of the trade, while the 50-share Nifty was seen up by 21.45 points or 0.41% at 5,279.90 points.
On the sectoral front on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), Realty, Power, Oil & Gas, Consumer Goods and PSU gained after registering a fall in the initial part of the trade, with Realty was seen up by 1.89%, power by 1.71% and Oil & Gas by 1.21%.
On the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the top gainers were DLF, BHEL, ACC, Tata Power and Reliance Infra, added 5.18%, 4.51%, 2.71%, 2.61% and 2.60%, respectively.
While the stocks seen negative on NSE were SAIL, IDFC, Hindustan Unilever and Tata Motors, lost by 2.57%, 2.04%, 1.95% and 1.64%, respectively.
The European stock markets also reduced losses after opening weak in the morning with FTSE 100 was up 0.30% and CAC 40 gained 0.86%.
