Reliance to enter fast-food space
Mukesh Ambani led Reliance Industries, one of the most talked about companies will be entering fast-food sector in coming year. The company which has its prominent space in $50 billion Energy dominant industry, retail and 4G wireless is now attracting young generation towards fast-food sector.

Mr. Rishi Negi, who is Chief Operating Officer (COO) of multiplex operator Fame India has been appointed for this new venture, to evolve this concept of Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) in the next 3-4 months.

In India, Fast food sector is growing at 25% every year. This comes with the big challenge for the RIL who should be prepared to face international competitors like Mc Donald's and Domino's. Reliance framework will be similar to Mc donald's and Domino's in standardized menu and fast delivery. It plans to have both independent outlets and existence in food courts.

RIL executives said "The company is looking at anything suitable for Indian palate, be it Chinese, Italian or Indian cuisine".

Reliance further said that it has ranged Bangalore, Delhi and Mumbai to initiate with its operations in fast-food chain.

Ambani's retail sector includes Reliance fresh, Reliance Super and Reliance Mart which comes with an overall of 1,146 outlets.

Mr. Negi who was also the COO of Pizzeria Restaurants have hands on experience in restaurant sector. He was also the food and beverage manager in Taj Group's 5- star hotel in Chennai.
