Markets ends with positive note after a wild swing
The stock market swung between the gains and losses on Tuesday as investors remained wary about the lingering euro zone unsolved issues. The situation over the domestic front is also not favourable, with IIP numbers slipped under the negative territory.

The Benchmark Sensex opened at 15,778.62 and remained choppy during the initial part of the trade, swinging between the gains and losses. It touched a high of 16,079.38 and a low of 15,771.59. It closed at 16,002.51, up by 0.83% or 132.16 points

 

While, the country's other bourse S&P CNX Nifty closed at 4,800.16, up by 0.76% or 36 points.

 

On the sectoral front on the BSE, all the sectors ended with the positive note except capital goods and consumer durables.

While the sectors on the losing streak were Consumer Durables (1.45%), Capital Goods (1.21%), Bankex (1.02%) and PSU (0.76%).

On the National Stock Exchange (NSE), top gainers were Hindalco, Grasim, Jindal Steel, SAIL & M&M.

While the top losers on the NSE were RPower, L&T, Reliance Power, BPCL & Ambuja Cement.
