Sensex hits positive zone in opening trade
The Indian market closed on a flat note with BSE Sensex at 15836.47 down by 44.67 points or by 0.28% and then NSE Nifty ended at 4746.35 down by 16.9 points or by 0.35%.

The domestic market closed on negative terrain for another consecutive day as global and domestic cues smitten market sentiment. The steep fall of rupee against US dollar further affected market sentiment. The rupee fell to a new low of 54.32 per dollar on Thursday.

On Friday morning, rupee was seen trading at 52.22 per dollar. After sharp appreciation in rupee market was seen trading in positive terrain.

At 9.55am IST, The benchmark 30- share BSE Sensex was trading at 16000.20 up by 163.73 points or 1.03% then NSE Nifty was trading at 4,799.00 up by 52.90 points or 1.11%.

Among Sectoral indices all were trading positively other than TECk and IT.

On the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the top volume gainers were BHARTIARTL, TATA POWER, TATA MOTORS, and BHEL posted gains between 2.41% - 3.74%.

The major losers on the NSE were WIPRO (1.64%), TCS (1.38%), COALINDIA (0.75%) and INFY (0.53%).
