Sensex surges by 150 points on firm Asian cues
The Indian benchmark indices surged more than 150 points in morning trade on Tuesday amid strong trend following in Asian market. Market sentiment was boosted after upbeat in US consumer data released.

At 10.15 am IST, the 30-share BSE Sensex was at 16,034.31 up by 219.59 points or 1.39% and NSE Nifty was trading at 4,806.30 up by 64.05 points or 1.35%.

In Asia, most of the markets were trading in positive terrain, the Nikkei 225 was up by 33.02 points and was at 8,423.12 The Hang Seng was up by 104.03 points and was at 18.969.75. The Shanghai composite was up by 33.99 points and was at 2,259.88.

Among sectoral indices on BSE, all the sectors were trading in positive terrain Bankex, Auto, Realty, Capital Goods leading the race.

On the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the top volume gainers were BPCL, Axis Bank, M&M, PNB, and Reliance Infrastructure posted gains between 2.35%-3.24%

And the only losers in the opening trade were Ranbaxy (0.83) and Grasim (0.22).
