Spot gold declines to Rs 28,110 per 10 grams

Gold futures were trading marginally lower on Thursday amid profit booking by speculators and lower demand in the markets.
MCX spot gold declined to Rs 28,110, whereas spot silver declined to Rs 54,638 per kg.
At 3.05 pm IST, the gold for February delivery on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) was trading at Rs 28,064.00 down by Rs 19 or 0.07%. It touched intraday high of Rs 28,194.
Similarly, the metal for April contract delivery was trading at Rs 28,411 grams slightly down by Rs 8 or 0.03%.
While, silver for March delivery on MCX was trading at Rs 56,559 down by Rs 275 or 0.48%.
Overseas spot gold price rose and was trading at US $1,749 a troy ounce.
