Rupee inches up to 48.92 per dollar
The partially convertible Indian rupee rose by 13 paise to Rs 48.92 per dollar on the Interbank Foreign Exchange amid foreign capital inflows.
Investors remained cautious as government is releasing GDP growth estimates for the fiscal year which could effect the domestic market and can have have impact on rupee sentiment.
The Indian rupee opened at 48.92 per dollar versus 49.05 yesterday. At 11.12 am IST rupee was seen trading at 48.94.
The rupee in expected to linger in the range of 48.80 to 49.20 per dollar.
Meanwhile, the BSE was seen trading at 17734.00 up by 26.69 points or 0.15% and the 50-share NSE was at 5367.75 up by 6.10 points or 0.11%.
