
State Bank Of India which came up with its quarterly results posted net profit up 15% at Rs 3263 crore on higher interest income. However, the shares of the company were trading lower at 2,125.55 down by 46.95 points or 2.16%.
At 3.40 pm IST, the 30-share BSE Sensex was trading at 17772.84 up by 24.15 points or 0.14% and NSE Nifty was trading at 5390.20 up by 8.60 points or 0.16%. Asian Trend also ended on a positive note.
Among sectoral indices on BSE, the sectors were trading in mixed terrain. Metal, Auto, Consumer Durables, Health Care leading the rally.
While on the losing side, the only sectors failed to lure investors were Capital Goods, TECk, It and PSU.
On the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the top volume gainers were Reliance Infra, Sesa Goa, Kotak Bank, Tata Steel and hero moto Cop posted gains between 2.00% - 5.18%.
And the loser in today trade were Sail, Wipro, Tata Power, Cipla and State Bank of India.
