Gold, silver see renewed buying

Precious metals rose on Monday with overseas spot gold hovering around $1,658 a troy ounce on the back of mixed investor sentiments.

Investors created fresh positions and parked their money in the yellow metal.

The gold futures for April delivery contract on MCX was seen trading up Rs 92 at Rs 28,191 per 10 grams and reached an intra-day high of Rs 28,221, per 10 grams at 2.55 pm IST.

Similarly, the metal for June contract was up by Rs 109 or 0.38% to Rs 28,660 per 10 grams.

While, silver for May delivery also rose by Rs 132 or 0.23% at Rs 57,215 per kg.
