BEML starts work on aerospace manufacturing at Devanahalli, Bangalore
This aerospace facility will be capable of manufacturing aerospace components and parts, assembling of helicopter and aircraft up to 21 metres.
The facility is spread over 3 lakh sq feet and the company has invested Rs 455 crores for this project. It may be recalled that the company already has an aerospace manufacturing facility at Mysore, for design aircraft, helicopters and engine parts.
With the opening of the new facility at Bangalore, the Mysore Aerospace Division will be dedicated towards manufacturing of ground support and handling equipments. The shares of BEML were traded at Rs 624 on the BSE.
