Indian markets closed for Good Friday

Indian markets closed for Good Friday
Indian stock markets are closed today on account of Good Friday. Markets were not trading on Thursday as well on account of Mahavir Jayanti.

All of the other markets are also closed today including the foreign exchange market. Globally meanwhile stocks were more or less flat in trading on Thursday, after Wednesday's sharp losses.

The Dow Jones closed the day marginally lower by 14 points at 13060 points, while the NASDAQ was up by 12.41 points.

The FTSE on the other hand ended the day higher by almost 20 points at 5723 points. Indian markets are expected to now open for trading only on Monday, when it should react to global cues. This is because the markets in India had trading only until Wednesday. A soft opening on Monday cannot be ruled out.
