US markets to open after two days break following storm
US stocks are set to resume trading on Wednesday, after "Sandy" cyclone disrupted normal life in the country, resulting in the exchanges being shut for trading on Monday and Tuesday.
The cyclone "Sandy" resulted in the stock markets being closed due to bad weather for the first time in 27 years.
The cyclone has wrecked havoc across the US and death toll is estimated at 33, due to the cyclone. According to CNN Recovery efforts were starting to take hold Tuesday night. The number of electric customers shivering without power fell to just under 6.9 million, down from nearly 8 million.
