Gold prices fell tracking weak overseas trend and subdued physical demand weighed on the sentiment of the yellow metal.

International gold was seen steady on Friday after a fall. However, it was heading for the third weekly drop. Spot gold was weighed by strong equities trend as investors shifted the focus towards other riskier assets. International gold was seen at $1,549 an ounce.

Gold futures in India was seen trading at Rs 29,022 per 10 grams, lower by Rs 162 at 2.55 pm IST on the Multi Commodity Exchange.

Mumbai

Mumbai spot gold of 99.9 and 99.5% purity was seen at Rs 29,335 and Rs 29,470 per 10 grams, respectively.

Delhi

Delhi spot gold of 99.9 and 99.5% purity was seen at Rs 29,600 and Rs 29,400 per 10 grams, respectively.

Chennai

Chennai spot gold of 99.9 and 99.5% purity was seen at Rs 29,520 and Rs 29,400 per 10 grams, respectively.

Jaipur

Jaipur spot gold of 99.9 and 99.5% purity was seen at Rs 29,325 and Rs 29,300 per 10 grams, respectively.

Ahmadabad

Ahmadabad spot gold of 99.9 and 99.5% purity was seen at Rs 29,375 and Rs 29,250 per 10 grams, respectively.
