Shares of Apple tumbled in trade on Wednesday, with the stock breaking below $400 a share for a brief period, doing so for the first time since December 2011. The sharp fall was on reports in DigiTimes that iPad mini shipments will fall 20 to 30 percent quarter-over-quarter to 10 to 12 million units in the second quarter.
The stock managed to pull back above the $400 levels, but ended the day 5 per cent lower.
