Google's Q1 2013 paid clicks rise; cost per click falls

Google Inc, which reported numbers on Thursday saw consolidated revenues for the quarter ended March 31, 2013 at $13.97 billion, an increase of 31 per cent compared to the first quarter of 2012.

Aggregate paid clicks, which include clicks related to ads served on Google sites and the sites of its network members, increased approximately 20 per cent over the first quarter of 2012 and increased approximately 3 per cent over the fourth quarter of 2012.

Average cost-per-click, which includes clicks related to ads served on Google sites and the sites of our Network members, decreased approximately 4 per cent over the first quarter of 2012 and decreased approximately 4 per cent over the fourth quarter of 2012.

Google's partner sites generated revenues of $3.26 billion, or 25 per cent of total Google revenues, in the first quarter of 2013. This represents a 12 per cent increase from first quarter 2012 Google network revenues of $2.91 billion.

The company's revenues from outside of the United States totaled $7.1 billion, representing 55 per cent of total Google revenues in the first quarter of 2013, compared to 54 per cent in the fourth quarter of 2012 and in the first quarter of 2012.
