International gold

International gold prices rallied once again on Thursday, as central bank across the globe stepped into buy the precious metal after its recent sharp decline.

Physical demand also surged, though selling by exchange-traded funds continued to reflect poor investor appetite.
The precious metal was trading around $1444 an ounce. India gold tracks international gold prices and hence any movement in international prices gets reflected in the domestic markets.
