Bharti Airtel reports subdued profits for Q4 2013
Bharti Airtel has reported yet another quarter of subdued profits, with profit after tax coming in at Rs 509 crores for the quarter ending March 31 2013, way short of expectations.
The company's average revenue per user has improved to Rs 193 for Q4 2013. The company says that it is witnessing a consistent growth on the data front and is optimistic on market share and margin expansion.
Bharti Airtel has seen the highest volume growth in the quarter ending March 31, 2013. Date volume this quarter has also improved on a sequential basis.
The African revenues were placed at Rs 6065 crores. The company says that mobile companies are no longer susidising the mobile business.
Bharti Airtel shares were down marginally by 1 per cent at Rs 315.
