IOC stops supply of LPG cylinders to non-KYC consumers

By Religare

The Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has stopped the supply of LPG cylinders to the customers who have not yet filled the KYC forms.

From June1, we have stopped supplying LPG cylinders to consumers who have not filled up their KYC forms and even to those who are in possession of multiple connections." DGM (LPG), IOC, D K Saha told media.

Saha in his statement added that no transaction including delivery of non-subsidized cylinders, will be permitted if the consumer number has been blocked for non filling of the form.

Though the IOC has reduced the prices of non-subsidized and commercial cylinders by Rs 45 and Rs 74.50, respectively, there has been no change in prices of subsidized cylinder.

However, companies like BPCL and HPCL are still providing cylinders to those who are yet to fill up their KYC forms, but soon they, too, will stop supplying cylinders to KYC non-compliant consumers, added the media report.
