Markets closed on account of Bakri Eid

Indian forex, stock and money markets were closed on Wednesday on account of Bakri Eidh. Asian markets were subdued following weak overnight closings in the US.

The Shanghai Composite slid more then 1 per cent, while the Hong Kong's Hang Sang, the Indonesian Jakarta Composite and the Taiwan Weighted were all lower in trade.

Asian markets were nervous as investors weighted on a debt deal by US lawmakers in the Senate.
