Domestic sales during the month stood at 85,510 units, down 5.9 per cent from 90,882 units in November last year, Maruti Suzuki India said in a statement. Sales of mini passenger cars, including M800, Alto, A-Star and WagonR, grew 3.7 per cent to 38,040 units from 36,679 units.

Sales of compact cars comprising Swift, Estilo and Ritz stood at 18,122 units against 23,849 units, down 24 per cent. Sales of compact sedan Dzire grew 13.2 per cent to 15,286 units from 13,502 units, the company said.

Mid-sized sedan SX4 saw sales declined 71.1 per cent to 200 units in November compared with 692 units in the same month last year, while premium sedan Kizashi sold just one unit. Sales of utility vehicles, including Ertiga, Grand Virara and Gypsy, stood at 5,840 units against 7,439 units, down 21.5 per cent.

Van sales consisting of Omni and Eeco were at 8,021 units compared with 8,650 units last year, down 7.3 per cent. Exports were down 46.2 per cent at 6,630 units against 12,318 units in the same month last year, the statement added.
