Tata Motors shares slump 5% on MD's tragic demise

Shares in Tata Motors fell sharply by almost 5 per cent, after the company's managing director Karl Slym's sudden death.

The stock was last trading at Rs 352 on the National Stock Exchange. According to news reports A Tata Motors spokesperson was quoted as saying that Slym died after an accidental fall "from a higher floor" in a Bangkok hotel.

Slym was to attend a board meet of Tata Motors Thailand. Tata Motors is now expected to name a new Managing Director shortly.
