Indian stock, forex and money markets are closed for Mahashivratri. Trading is set to resume again on Friday, February 28.
Meanwhile, Asian markets were mostly trading higher led by strong gains in the Shanghai Composite and the Hong Kong's Hang Sang. Overnight, the US markets ended the day flat, even as the Nasdaq touched a 14 year high.
Indian markets had closed higher on Wednesday, which was also the last day of expiry for the Feb F&O series.
