GoAir and Jet Airways announce discounted fares for International Women's Day
Ahead of the International Women's Day that is celebrated on March 8 every year, airlines in order to cheer its women travellers, are on the spree to offer lucrative deals. Jet Airways has announced discounts on both domestic and international flights. For the domestic flights, JetKonnect as well as Jet Airways will provide a discounted air fare of 10% which shall be applicable on base fare & fuel charges.

For the international flights, also the airline has announced the same discount of 10% on base fare. Such discounts are however applicable only on online travel bookings from March 8, 2014 and May 8, 2014 with a travel validity for 11 months on the company sites www.jetlite.com and www.jetairways.com.

Also, as part of its unique drive on the occasion of the International women's day, the company announced of a plan wherein it shall spearhead with a special in-flight fund raising programme and contribute the amount to three of the NGOs working for various women-related issues.

GoAir, a low-cost carrier, also announced a special scheme for women travellers wherein it shall provide an upgrade to business class at just Rs. 999. The offer is a discount of almost 60% in comparison to the actual cost and can be availed between March 7 and March 9 for all direct flights from all check-in counters of the airline at across 21 airports in the country.

The budget carrier run by Nusli Wadia offers deplaning, priority check-in, complimentary refreshments and more leg room to its business class passengers.

On the social media platform, GoAir has begun campaign in the name " My Story on the Go" which is to woo women travellers to share their travel related experience. For the winners, company will provide free air tickets.
