Rupee opens flat at 60.11 to the dollar

The Indian Rupee opened the day flat at 60.11 to the dollar, as against its previous close of 60.14 against the dollar. The rupee has shown good recovery this week after hitting a one month high earlier this week, following a rise in crude prices after tensions in Iraq escalated.

Dealers say that the rupee would continue to trade in a range and may remain volatile as we head into the maiden Union Budget under Prime Ninister Narendra Modi.

The rupee has recovered sharply this year after hitting a lifetime low of 68.86 against the dollar in August last year. Dealers say that the rupee would continue to trade in a range today and may show some volatility Next week ahead of the Union Budget on July 10. Check rupee rates here
