Price of diesel sold to bulk consumers like Railways and State Transport Corporations was today cut by Rs 1.09 per litre in line with falling international rates.
However, diesel sold to retail consumers like cars and trucks have not been revised.
Official sources said price of bulk diesel sold in Delhi has been cut from Rs 60.41 per litre to Rs 59.32 per litre.
The government had in January 2013 decided to sell diesel to bulk consumers like State Transport Corporations, Railways and Defence while the subsidised fuel was meant only for retail users like automobiles, car owners and trucks.
The price of retail diesel has not been changed. It currently costs Rs 57.84 per litre in Delhi.
