Provident Fund interest rate retained at 8.75 per cent

Retirement fund body, the Employees Provident Fund Organisation EPFO's trustees have decided to retain interest rate on provident fund at 8.75 percent for the current fiscal (2014-15).

The EPFO had provided 8.75 percent rate of interest on PF deposits for 2013-14, which was higher than 8.5 percent paid for the previous fiscal.

The interest rates has been kept in mind prevailing interest rates in the economy, which have largely remained steady for sometime now.
