The Stock Exchanges, including the BSE, NSE and the MCX would remain closed today on account of election in the State of Maharashtra.
Other trading segments such as mutual fund segment, currency derivatives, equity derivatives segment and other traded segments will also remain shut for the day.
Meanwhile, Asian markets were trading mixed with the Taiwan Weighted and Japanese Nikkei marginally lower, while the Hong Kong's Hang Sang was trading with gains.
