Rupee Opens Marginally Lower at 61.93 to the Dollar

The Rupee opened the day marginally lower against the dollar in opening trade, dropping 3 paise at 61.93 against the dollar. The currency had closed at 61.90 to the dollar on Wednesday.

Global cues were quiet though the US Dow Jones closed at a new record closing on Thursday. The currency is expected to trade in a range for most of the day in the absence of any major cues.

Meanwhile, Asian markets were trading marginally higher following record closings in the US. Check rupee rates here
