Rupee Opens Week On A Strong Note; Higher by 20 Paise at 62.13

The rupee opened the week on a strong note at 62.13 against the US dollar gaining 20 paise against its previous close of 62.33.

The rupee has been gaining constant ground against the dollar through last week and dealers say there maybe some volatility for the currency ahead of global events like Greece elections.

Meanwhile, markets in Asia opened higher, and Indian markets were also expected to open steady for the week. Much of the global cues were quiet, though a lot of volatility is expected ahead of the Greece elections. Check rupee rates here
