Rupee Surges 31 Paise on Strong Global Cues; Trades at 61.39 to the Dollar

The rupee opened the day stronger by 31 paise at 61.39 against the dollar, on solid global cues, following a bull blown quantitative easing programme announced by the ECB.

On Thursday, the European Central bank (ECB) announced a massive government bond buying programme to stimulate the European economy which is going through deflationary pressures.

This saw stocks rally across the board and in India the rupee rallied. Stocks are also expected to surge following the ECB decision. Check rupee rates here
