Shares in Gujarat Gas gained ground after the company said that it had got permission to distribute gas in Thane.
According to news reports the company got an authorisation from Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board to lay, build, operate, or expand city or local natural gas distribution network (CGD) for the geographical area of Thane, Maharashtra.
The shares were last trading at Rs 764, up 14 per cent on the National Stock Exchange.
Gujarat Gas Company is in virtually every aspect of the energy chain from upstream downstream and mid stream. The company serves the entire retail value of the energy chain from residential, commercial, industrial and compressed natural gas.
