The Sensex ended the day lower by 241 while the Nifty closed higher by 72 points. Markets across Asia ended the day with steep losses, while most of Europe was trading lower.

Infosys today announced Aikido, three enhanced service offerings in Design Thinking, Platforms and Knowledge-Based IT (KBIT). The Ki and Do services will be offered by Infosys Consulting.

HCL Infosystems reported consolidated loss for the quarter at Rs 41.45 crore, contracted from Rs 46. crore loss reported in previous quarter.

The stock ended the day at Rs 45.15, lower by 2.90 per cent on BSE. It touched an intraday low of Rs 42 during the trade.

The company said that at the time of the explosion in China, some vehicles which were stored at various locations in Tianjin may be damaged.
