The 30-share benchmark index ended the trade at 26838.14 down by 201.62 points or by 0.75 per cent, while the NSE Nifty ends at 8111.75 down by 59.45 points or by 0.73 per cent.

On the global front, Asian peers ended the day on a mixed note. European indices were also trading mixed with French CAC marginally lower, while the German DAX was trading in green.

Shares of Torrent Power on Thursday surged over 9 percent, to touch one-year high level, after the firm reported consolidated net profit of Rs 246.27 crore for the quarter ended September 30, reports PTI.
