    The 30-share benchmark index, Sensex ended the trade at 26552.92 lower by 37.67 points or by 0.14 per cent, while the NSE Nifty was at 8040.20 down by 20.50 points or by 0.25 per cent. 

    On the global front, Asian peers ended the day on a positive note. Meanwhile, European indices were also trading higher.

    Nestle India

    Nestle today said government approved labs have found the newly manufactured samples of instant noodles Maggi safe and the company will start retail sales of the popular snack this month, reports PTI.

    The stock ended the trade at Rs 6247, higher by 0.21 per cent on BSE. The stock touched an intra-day high of Rs 6479 during the trade.

    Tata Motors

    Shares of Tata Motors today surged 6.5 per cent amid reports that sales of Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) in the US rose in October.

    The stock ended the trade at Rs 405, higher by 6.02 per cent on BSE. The stock touched an intra-day high of Rs 407 during the trade.

    Jain Irrigation

    Shares of Jain Irrigation Systems continued the upward trend after the company bagged Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company's (MSEDCL) most awaited tender for supply and installation of 8959 solar agri - pumps.

    The stock ended the trade at Rs 67.20, higher by 6.61 per cent on BSE. The stock touched an intra-day high of Rs 68.10 during the trade.

    Tech Mahindra

    Tech Mahindra dropped after its results did not match expectations. The Company has posted a profit after tax of Rs. 9572.70 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2015 compared to Rs 5894.70 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2014.

    The stock ended the trade at Rs 543, lower by 2.49 per cent on BSE. The stock touched an intra-day low of Rs 540 during the trade.

     

    Reliance Capital

    Reliance Capital, financial services arm of Anil Ambani-led Reliance Group, today announced a 0.25 per cent cut in its prime lending rates, effective for its home and commercial loans, reports PTI.

    The stock ended the trade at Rs 415, lower by 1.49 per cent on BSE. The stock touched an intra-day low of Rs 413 during the trade.
