The 30-share benchmark index ended the trade at 25841.92 higher by 359.40 points or by 1.41 per cent, while the NSE Nifty was at 7842.75, up by 110.95 points or by 1.43 per cent.

On the global front, Asian markets ended the day on a positive note. While European indices were also trading in green.
