A Quick Round-Up Of The Market This Week
Indian markets were bullish this week even as the benchmark Nifty outperformed with an upward breakout of 8540 according to Dynamic Levels.
The Bank Nifty has also shown strength and has moved up by 1000 points from 18000 to 19000. The major gainers for the week were ICICI Bank, Hindalco, Tata Steel, Tata Motors, HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel and IDEA.
Small cap index has heavily outperformed and heavy weights like Infosys and TCS declared their quarterly results, which were not up to the mark. This under performance could exert undue pressure on the IT Index.

In this week from 11 to 15 July, FII and Pro combined have added mostly above average buying bets in Index futures. They have added net buy positions of 4282875 shares in this week.
The total for the July expiry from the 1st July to 15th July is 3486750 shares, which indicates that big players are building long positions in market.
Options Index Update
In this week from 11 to 15 July, FII and Pro combined have added mostly above average buying bets in Index Options. They have added net buy positions of 4707000 shares in this week.
The total for the July expiry from the 1st July to 15th July is 4812450 which indicates that a Buy position has been created for the clearing.

In this week from 11 to 15 July, Foreign Institutional Investor (FII) and Domestic Institutional Investor (DII) combined have bought shares worth 836 crore in the cash segment.
FII have participated heavily in this buying after buying shares worth Rs.3890 in this week. DII, however, has been in a booking mode where they have sold shares worth Rs. 3054 cr for the week.
Since 1st July 2016, FII have bought Rs.4181 crores worth shares where as DII have sold shares worth Rs.2890 crores in the cash segment.
FII and DII combined have a net buy worth Rs. 1291 Cr since 1st July 2016.
