Key domestic benchmark indices ended lower on Tuesday. The 30-share benchmark index ended trade lower by 122.17 points to end at 28060.40; Nifty ends at 8678.25 down by 33.10 points.

Shares of Rural Electrification Corporation (REC) rose in trade after the company said that the board of company is likely to consider bonus issue in the meeting on August 11.

REC shares ended the day at Rs 229, higher by 2.22 per cent on BSE. It touched an intraday high of Rs 233 and low of Rs 227during trade.

Shares of Idea Cellular hit 52-week low, after the company reported a decline in its consolidated net profit after taxes (PAT) at Rs 220.42 crore for the quarter ending June 30, 2016.

Idea Cellular shares ended the day at Rs 97, lower by 5.97 per cent on BSE. It touched an intraday low and 52-week low of Rs 96.55 during trade.

Shares of SRF rose to hit 52-week high, after the company reported a growth of 27 per cent in consolidated net profit at Rs 144 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2016.

SRF shares ended the day at Rs 1574, higher by 2.33 per cent on BSE. It touched an intraday high and 52-week high of Rs 1688 during trade.

Shares of Transpek Industry rallied after the company said that the board will meet on Friday, August 12, 2016 to consider a proposal for buyback of equity shares.

SRF shares ended the day at Rs 432, higher by 4.16 per cent on BSE. It touched an intraday high of Rs 448 during trade.

Axis Bank said that it has allotted 1,23,700 equity shares pursuant to exercise of options under its ESOP Scheme.

Shares of the Axis Bank ended the day at Rs 573, higher by 20.79 per cent on BSE. It touched an intraday high of Rs 574 and low of Rs 566 during trade.
