Stocks That have Jumped Up to 10% In Trade Today
Markets were in a buoyant mood today, discounting cross border tensions, even as the world remains flush with money. The Sensex once again surged passed the 28,000 points ease and may recover all of last week's losses.
Select stocks surged in trade, gaining almost handsomely. Here are a few stocks that saw a phenomenal rally in trade today.
Remsons
Remsons Industries surged as much as 13 per cent in trade today and was last trading at Rs 48. The company had completed its annual general body meeting on Oct 1, 2016. Remsons Industries has submitted to the Exchange the details of voting results of the Annual General Meeting of the Company held on the September 30, 2016 along with Report of Scrutinizer.
The company is a leading player in the business of Cables, Gear Shift Systems, Flexible Shafts and Push Pull Cables.
For the quarter ending March, the company reported a small quarterly profits of Rs 63 lakhs.
Karma Energy
Shares in Karma Energy was up 11 per cent in trade at Rs 23. There was no notice given to the BSE or the NSE, so it was difficult to ascertain the reason for the jump in the stock. Karma Energy is a leading player in the wind power, solar power and hydro power business. The company has developed and is operating about 33 MW wind power projects in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu.
Wind Power Projects of aggregate capacity of over 700 MW is under various stages of implementation in the states of Gujarat, Karnataka and Maharashtra. The Joint Venture Companies have signed MOU with Government of Gujarat under Vibrant Gujarat Programme for developing wind farms of over 500 MW.
Hathway Cable & Datacom Limited
Shares in Hathway Cable & Datacom was another stock that jumped 10 per cent in trade at Rs 28.75. The company had held an analyst meet on Sept 26, 2016.
There were heavy volumes seen in the counter. Hathway Cable & Datacom has Cable operations across key Indian geographies and offers cable television services across 140 cities and towns and high-speed cable broadband services across 21 cities.
The company has established 20 digital head-ends in the country. Recently, it has been awarded the best MSO by the Indian Telly Awards for its quality Cable TV and Broadband Internet Services nine times and "Star News Brand Excellence Awards for Brand Excellence in Digital Products for Internet Services in 2011".
Energy Development Company Limited
Energy Development Company was another stock that jumped 10 per cent in trade. The company on Oct 1, 2016 has submitted to the Exchange the details of voting results of the Annual General Meeting of the Company held on the September 29, 2016 along with Report of Scrutinizer.
The stock was last trading at Rs 239.10, on the NSE. The company currently has 19 MW of renewable energy capacity and has 291 MW of hydroelectric projects at various stages of development. EDC has targets to develop and own around 500 MW of new Hydro Electric Power Projects at an approximate capital outlay of Rs.7000-8000 crores in the next 5-7 years.
E-Land Apparel Limited
E-Land Apparel is another stock that jumped 9 per cent, following its annual general body meeting. E-Land has not been doing well in the last few quarters and has reported losses for the quarter ending June 30, 2016 and the previous quarter ending March 31, 2016.
Today's jump in the stock was on the back of larger volumes.
MT Educare
MT Educare shares jumped 9.51 per cent in trade at Rs 141. MT Educare runs the famous Mahesh Tutorials in various parts of Mumbai. The company had gone public with an IPO a few years back.
