ITC Q2 Net Profit Up 10.5%; Cigarette revenue Up 7%

ITC cigarette revenue rose by 7 percent to Rs 8,528 crore, against Rs 7,963 crore year-on-year.

Index heavyweight ITC, reported 10 per cent rise in its net profits at Rs 2,500 crore for the quarter ending Sept 2016, against Rs 2,262, crore year on year.

Total Income has increased from Rs 13,003 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2015 to Rs 14,091 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2016.

ITC cigarette revenue rose by 7 percent to Rs 8,528 crore, against Rs 7,963 crore year-on-year. EBITDA increased by 7.3 percent to Rs 3,630 crore against Rs 3,383 crore. Margins of the company stood flat at Rs 26.7 percent, compared to26.8 percent year-on-year basis.

Shares of ITC were seen trading at Rs 240, higher by 0.71 per cent on the BSE at 2.38 pm IST. It touched an intra-day high of Rs 242 during trade.
