Key domestic benchmark indices ended lower on Wednesday. The 30-share benchmark index ended trade lower by 254.91 points to end at 27,836.51; Nifty ends at 8,615.25 down by 76.05 points.

Shares of Bharti Airtel rose more than 2 per cent on Wednesday after the company reported better than expected results yesterday.

Bharti Airtel shares ended trade at Rs 318, higher by 2.06 per cent on BSE. It touched an intraday high Rs 322 and low of Rs 315 during trade.

IDBI Bank has reported that its net profit fell by 53.5 per cent at Rs 55.52 crore from the same period a year ago.

IDBI Bank shares ended trade at Rs 74.45, marginally higher by 0.20 per cent on BSE. It touched an intraday high Rs 75.80 and low of Rs 72.40 during trade.

Shares of Axis Bank fell over 8 per cent after the lender reported a 83 per cent year on year decline in net profit to Rs 319 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2016.

Axis Bank shares ended trade at Rs 486, lower by 8.09per cent on BSE. It touched an intraday low of Rs 484 during trade.

Share price of Crompton Greaves Consumer Electrical plunged more than 9 percent on Wednesday on weak second quarter numbers.

Crompton Greaves shares ended trade at Rs 183.45, lower by 2.24 per cent on BSE. It touched an intraday low of Rs 170 uring trade.

Index heavyweight ITC, reported 10 per cent rise in its net profits at Rs 2,500 crore for the quarter ending Sept 2016, against Rs 2,262, crore year on year.

Shares of ITC were seen trading at Rs 240, higher by 0.71 per cent on the BSE at 2.38 pm IST. It touched an intra-day high of Rs 242 during trade.
