Central bank beginning to print bills of 200 rupees perhaps for the first time to help ease consumer transactions.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has started with the printing of Rs 200 currency notes according to reports. It is for the first time the RBI is printing Rs 200 notes.
It is believed that the remonetization process will come to the final stage as the central bank begins to print bills of 200 rupees to help ease consumer transactions. The smaller denomination will ease the problem of dealing with everyday cash dealings.

The RBI has added several advanced security features to the new Rs. 200 note to prevent counterfeiting. The proposal for the new denomination was first given by RBI. The government later gave a green signal to the proposal.
During demonetisation, Prime Minister Modi announced the withdrawal of the then existing Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currency notes in November. After demonetization RBI has launched new Rs 2000 and Rs 500 notes.
