ITR filing date extended, Central government gave a surprise by extending the date to August 5.
- Before the news was that there will be no extention of the ITR filing date.

Income tax India Tweeted "In view of the difficulties faced by taxpayers, date for filing of Income Tax Returns for FY 2016-17 has been extended to 5th August, 2017."
The extension of the Income tax return filing deadline is a relief for the tax payers who are facing various problems to meet the deadline.
