Innovative list is pulled out after an investor's estimation as to which companies would emerge with the biggest innovation in the year
On the estimation set by investors, three Indian firms are likely to come up with the next-stage innovation and these include HUL, Bharti Airtel and Asian Paints. On the chart, SalesForce.com has now replaced Tesla Motors this time.

In the list that includes 100 most innovative global companies, of the three Indian firms, Bharti Airtel is the new entrant in the lists with 78th ranking while others that include HUL and Asian Paints have moved up the ladder at 7th and 8th rank respectively.
In the last year's list there were other Indian firms including Sun Pharma, L&T and TCS which failed to make it to the 2017 Forbes list of most innovative firms. So, in comparison to the yester year which had 5 firms in the list, this time around only 3 companies managed to be part of the list.
The other considerations that are factored in when the list of world's most global companies is compiled includes the criteria of a minimum market cap of $10 billion and also seven years of financial data is to be provided.
The magazine says"We include only industries that are known to invest in innovation, excluding industries that have no measurable investment in R&D, so banks and other financial services do not make the list. Nor do energy and mining firms, whose market value is tied more to commodity prices than innovation,"
Also Forbes takes into account the innovative premium while ranking the companies in the list i.e. the difference between the company's market cap and the net net present inflow from ongoing businesses.
The global firms in the top 10 lists includes Amazon, Shanghai RAAS Blood Products, Netflix, Incyte, Naver and Regeneron Pharmaceuticals.
