To counter the effect of Jio, Airtel has rolled out the free voice calling and 84GB data for its prepaid users.
To offset the disruption caused by the erstwhile rival Jio, Airtel is leaving no stone unturned and for its prepaid 4G customer segment, the telecom giant has introduced a offer at Rs. 399 with unlimited free calling and 1GB 4G data each day for 84 days.

The new scheme which was earlier provided to only Airtel new customers until last month is now being extended to all 4G handset and 4G Airtel sim users. The Airtel scheme is a open competition to the existing Jio scheme which is also priced at Rs. 399.
In July, for its new subscribers the company introduced Rs. 293 and Rs.499 plans with exclusive free calling to all the networks in the latter plan. But with the current new plan, the scheme serves both the existing and new user base of the company.
Jio as a better option has said that it is offering lifetime free calling on its network. Furthermore, on recharges done using PhonePe, flipkart etc, the company is offering cashbacks. The mobile wallet company is offering a maximum cashback of Rs. 75 on the first recharge done on Jio and second and third recharges are entitled for a cashback of Rs. 50 and Rs. 25 respectively. But to avail the cashback offer, a minimum recharge of Rs. 300 is a prerequisite.
