To remove the tax anomalies seen in the GST rates on some goods, the Council has yet again reworked tax rates of some products.
The GST Council meet on Saturday at Hyderabad has decided to roll back GST on some goods while lowering down tax rate on some 40 common usage items. At the same time, differential cess has been levied on different car types. Thus the body has reworked the proposed tax anamolies in the system.

Also, cess on luxury cars which was long being under the talk as automobile maker had been continuing to propose its deferment has also been worked upon at the meet. The Council has imposed a differential cess on luxury cars, SUVs and Sedans.
